Purpose built accommodation just 10 minutes walk from the center of Huonville.
This modern 4 bedroom property was purpose built by the Tasmanian Government as a home for people with disabilities in 2006.
It features two large living rooms, an open plan kitchen dining area, solar hot water, two bathrooms, outdoor entertainment areas and landscaped gardens.
The house is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with paddocks on two sides and one neighbour.
The vacancy is a spacious sunny double bedroom with built in robe. The house is fully furnished but the new resident would need to supply their own bedroom furniture.
The 3 current housemates (2 female, 1 male) are quiet, friendly people, aged 45-60 yrs, and enjoy actively participating in the running of their home. Music is popular throughout the house as are movies and dance.
The house runs a diverse range of activities and celebrate special events together with family and friends.
Support is flexible and will be guided by individual needs. Currently the residence is staffed at a 2:4 ratio including sleepover shifts and all day weekend support.
All current participants access employment or community based activities 9am – 3pm weekdays.

The house is situated on a flat accessible block with wide doorways and hallways.
There are 2 accessible bathrooms fitted with handrails, wall mounted showers and one has a Hi Low bath.
The site is wheelchair accessible and all outdoor areas are flat, paved, and grassed.
Huonville town center is a short walk or drive away and offers all amenities including shopping, cafes and restaurants, medical services, and public transport.
This vacancy would suit a quiet mature male or female participant who enjoys being active in their daily routines and might appreciate a semi rural environment.
Potential housemates will need National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding for Supported Independent Living or similar.
Currently the residents each contribute to a shared household account from which items such as electricity, groceries, fuel etc. are paid.
