Margaret’s rockin’ holiday

Elvis fan Margaret ‘couldn’t help’ making a lifetime of memories on the Tribute to The King P&O cruise.

Margaret and a cohort of lifelong Elvis fans had a rockin’ good time on the Tribute to the King cruise.

After COVID-19 lockdowns and some health issues delayed her holiday plans, Margaret was able to secure a spot on the cruise just a few days before the deadline.

“I’d been wanting to go for a while. It was the trip of a lifetime.”

Armed with a checklist of goals, Margaret headed off for her cruise. She wanted to stay up and enjoy the nightlife and meet Elvis. Margaret shared that she ticked everything off her checklist and even did some things that she hadn’t planned on.

“I was feeling brave that day, why not?” says Margaret when recalling a story about visiting the top of the ship to look out to the horizon, despite being frightened of heights.

Possability Practice Leader Maree supported Margaret on the cruise. “Margaret’s joy was infectious” says Maree. She danced everywhere with others who shared her love for Elvis.

When asked about her favourite memory, Margaret says “everything was my favourite, the whole time, but especially meeting Elvis. I’d love to go back there again.”

Margaret encourages others to start planning their dream holidays. She’s already planning her next trip, possibly to Melbourne, and adds “you’re never too old.”
