Our CEO, Drew Beswick, spoke about the “new normal” in his message. That new normal is the widespread uptake of online tools to maintain connections in our daily lives—as a society we have greatly increased our diversity of connection.
To encourage and support such connections, we have established online activity sessions that are broadcast right into the living rooms of people we support. Under the name WeCreate, we are using a mix of recordings and livestream from the homes of our different presenters.
Our latest Mother’s Day broadcast included a segment by Anne and support professional Tracey baking Spinach and Fetta Muffins, with produce straight from the garden. At this stage the sessions are publicly viewable.
We all communicate in different ways; our specialist teams designed these broadcasts to be inclusive and provide real benefits.
In the current climate of mass isolation, it is particularly important to engage and connect with people who could be vulnerable to missing vital relationships. We have also prioritised wellbeing and included activities that keep bodies and minds active while also having fun.
We welcome you and your family to watch the sessions and create with us, all you need is an online device. You can find more information on the WeCreate page on our website.
