Victorian Transfer Update

Consultations and planning are well underway for the Victorian Transfer of Disability Services to Possability in 2019.

Possability is honoured to have been selected as one of five disability service providers to participate in the Transfer of Disability Services.

Members of the Transfer Team held a series of forums for employees and families in September in Stawell, Ararat, Melton, Hoppers Crossing and Bendigo.

CEO Drew Beswick thanked everyone who attended the information sessions.

“It was a great opportunity to listen, understand and to start to get to know each other ahead of the service transfer next year”.

“We are committed to learning together as a team and being guided by residents, families and staff in how we work together. We collected a lot of valuable feedback and have already begun building it into our planning process”.

House Meetings with residents are occurring from next week and a Support Professional Reference Group is being established to provide advice on the transfer process.

We are also working closely with government and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and smooth transfer of services.

The Transfer will see Possability managing specialist services for 320 people with disability living in group homes, predominantly in regional areas west and north of Melbourne.

As part of the transfer arrangements, we will be welcoming close to 500 highly committed disability support professionals to the Possability team.

Victorian participants and employees who will be joining us can find more information on our Welcome page.
