Possability is honoured to have been selected through a competitive process run by the Victorian Government to manage services for 320 people with disability living in group homes.
Possability CEO, Drew Beswick, said that the further extension of our services in Victoria is a great opportunity for the organisation to share our knowledge, learn from others and be a ‘catalyst for change’ for more people.
“The transfer will see Possability managing services in 71 group homes, predominantly in regional areas west and north of Melbourne,” he said.
“As part of the transfer arrangements, we will be welcoming close to 500 highly committed disability support professionals to the Possability team.
“This will enable continuity of service for participants and employees during the transfer.”
The sites to transfer to Possability management are based in the following NDIS regions – Loddon, Central Highlands, Western District, Hume Moreland, Brimbank Melton and Western Melbourne. See the NDIS website for a map of these regions.
The service transfer will occur in a number of stages beginning in early 2019.
“This is exciting news and Possability will be working closely with the Victorian Government in coming months to ensure a safe and smooth transfer,” Mr Beswick said.
“To start to build the important relationships involved in providing support, senior managers and I will meet with the individuals, their families and employees in coming weeks and months.
“We look forward to working together to ensure high quality support that enables participants to pursue their goals and aspirations.”
We extend a warm welcome to Victorian participants and employees who will be joining us. For more information, we invite you to visit our Welcome page.
