Supported Independent LivingVacancy Available - Kingston
Become part of the community in this home nestled within a quiet bush setting with views of Kingston Beach.
A wonderful opportunity exists to join a socially inclusive intentional community situated in a quiet bush setting in Kingston. This unit, shared with one other person, is one of seven located alongside the Uniting Church hall and residence. Members of the community enjoy fresh eggs from the onsite chickens and views of Kingston Beach. The hall itself, which includes a commercial kitchen, table tennis table, piano and large TV screen is also available for hire —with a Grand Final viewing enjoyed by residents at the end of every AFL season.
A freshly painted, single room with built in wardrobe and garden views is available. One half of the outdoor shed is also available for additional storage.
This home is suitable for someone very independent with minimal support needs, who is looking to become a real part of the community and get involved in social gatherings such as BBQs and movie nights. The majority of the current community members work part time, volunteer and/or attend day programs, and have family that are actively involved in their lives and social activities.
This unit is shared with one other resident, a polite and social male in his thirties who works part time and enjoys sport.
Onsite support is based on individual needs and would ideally suit someone looking for occasional drop-in supports to help develop and maintain their skills in independent living.
