The township of Ararat is approximately one kilometre from the house with access to shops, medical centres, sport and recreation facilities and a Picture theatre. The train station that links Ararat with the larger regional towns of Ballarat and Horsham as well as Melbourne, is 700 metres away. There is a bus stop 100 metres away that provides access into the town.

The bedrooms are not furnished however the house does have a single bed and bedside draws that are available if someone would like them.

Suitable for

There are currently three female residents who live in this house, ranging in age from 28- 34 years.

Those who live here all participate in the decision making for the house, and are working on developing their independent living skills. Each person goes to day programs through the week and are very social, often going out and doing activities.

The applicant must be aged 18 years or over.

Support

Currently this house offers support seven days a week and is staffed with a sleepover model of support overnight.
