This vacancy would be a great fit for a person who appreciates the convenience of local shopping, activities, and public transport, but then enjoys returning to a relaxed and peaceful home environment.

Current Residents
This is a five person shared home where current residents enjoy an active and social lifestyle. They access the local community or are supported to travel to Hobart to attend functions and social activities.

Room Information
The spacious double sized bedroom is unfurnished but has loads of space for a bed, cupboard, and desk.

Support is flexible and will be guided by individual needs. Currently the residence is staffed at all times other than 9 am – 3 pm weekdays, with every evening being a sleepover shift.

Flat access to the front door and modified bathrooms provide security and comfort for those with reduced mobility, while the centre of Huonville is just 2km down the road.

Other Information
The house shares the site with a modern independent living unit which offers a safe transitional environment for those with long term goals around independent community living.

This unit is currently occupied but may be an attractive option in the future for those looking for support to build their confidence and appropriate skills of daily life in the main house.

While overnight support is available 7 nights a week, residents sometimes enjoy time away for holidays or family visits..

Friends or family are also always welcome to visit the house and are often invited for meals or to celebrate important life events.

Potential housemates will need National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding for Supported Independent Living or similar.
Currently, the residents each contribute to a shared household account from which items such as rent, electricity, groceries, fuel etc. are paid.
