Community Based Supported Employment

Find real, meaningful work in the community that suits your skills, interests and support needs.

Community based supported employment (CBSE) is designed around you and your unique talents and needs.

Once we get to know you and what type of job you’re looking for, we partner with you to find your perfect fit in the community. When you start your ideal job, we’ll keep supporting you when and where you need it.

We’ll support you to find and keep a great job.

Your job, your way

Discovering your personal genius

Together we explore what you want out of a job and the unique skillset you bring.

We’ll ask to visit you in your home, meet your nearest and dearest and get you involved in skill building activities in the community. We’ll then approach local businesses for employment opportunities that are based on your wants, needs and talents.

Upskilling for success

Build the skills you need to get the job you want.

After spending some time with you, we might suggest you upskill in any areas we think will help you land the role you want. This could include transportation training, so you can get to and from work safely, financial planning and helping you to build new routines.

Get into action

Get ready for work by trying real work.

You might be offered a work trial in a workplace you’re interested in or through a training program—if you’ve never had a job before this is a good opportunity to see what working life is really like.

You’ll be supported one-on-one through the whole process.

Start work

You’ve landed a job, congratulations!

Our involvement doesn’t end there, we’ll keep supporting you as long as you need so you can continue to keep your job well into the future.
