Find the right job for you
All jobs are listed on our Positions Vacant page. Read the position description carefully so that you are clear about the job requirements and whether you are suited to the role. Possability will not discriminate and will provide equal opportunity in all recruitment and selection based activities.
We regularly recruit for Support Professional roles in Disability Services and Child and Youth Services. If there is not a specific role being advertised, you can lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) and your application will be assessed when positions become available.
Applying for a job
All applications must be completed online on our website. The online application form needs to be filled out in one session, so it saves time to gather the information you need prior to beginning.
Information required includes:
- a current resume, limited to no more than 4 pages (with a font size no smaller than 10 point)
- details of qualifications
- your career aspirations
- two referees (at least one referee must be a former employee).
See the application form for more details.
For some roles, applicants might be asked to address specific selection criteria.
If you are shortlisted for a position, we will invite you to an interview. At the same time, we will send you a pre-employment health questionnaire to complete and bring to the interview.
The interview panel will comprise the hiring manager, a Human Resources representative and another Possability employee as relevant. If you are applying for a support worker role, a client may also be on the interview panel.
Referee checks will be undertaken after the interview if you are shortlisted to the next stage of recruitment.
Depending on the needs of the role we may ask you to undertake other assessment activities as part of the selection process. We will provide you with all the information you need to ensure you have the best possible opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities as you progress through our selection process.
We take seriously our responsibility to deliver a support environment that is caring, nurturing and safe. If you are the preferred candidate for a position with Possability you will be required to undertake a National Police Check and Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check. A commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People Standards is also required. All job offers are subject to satisfactory completion of these safeguarding checks.
You are now close to joining the team and starting your new career! When you have been offered a job, we will provide you with an employment pack which contains the formal contract offer for the position and other relevant paper work.
