Possability was one of 12 organisations to receive the coveted award at a ceremony held at Wrest Point Casino on Monday, 30 May. The awards recognised Tasmanian organisations that successfully attracts and retains skilled staff by creating a great place to work.
Possability CEO Drew Beswick said he couldn’t be more proud of the Possability team.
“It’s terrific recognition for Possability to achieve this award I would particularly like to acknowledge the ongoing efforts of supervisors across the organisation to lead, guide and motivate their teams,” Mr Beswick said.
“By living our values, upholding policies and procedures, and coaching each team in each of our operating areas, we are able to deliver the best possible support to our clients.
“A strong sense of purpose and good leadership goes a long way to making a great place to work.”
To receive this award Possability had to demonstrate what we do to make it a great place to work including:
- Providing work flexibility and adjusting rosters to suit personal needs
- Matching employees and clients based on interest and suitability, providing the opportunity to share passions and life skills
- Regular communication from all levels of the organisation from CEO forums, to email updates, team meetings and 24/7 after hours support
- Recognition of personal goals and aspired career pathways,
- Ongoing opportunities for training and skill development, and career advancement.
Mr Beswick said that he recognised that this is just the beginning; we need to continually work on being a ‘great place to work.’
