What qualifications and experience do I need to apply for work with Possability?

At Possability we believe that the most critical indicator of success is whether you share our organisational values. While many of our roles have requirements for specific qualifications and experience, we will never compromise on ensuring that we have that initial alignment between us.

How do I apply for a position with Possability?

Simply go to the ‘Work with Us’ tab on this website, complete an online Application Form and follow the instructions to submit it and your resume.

Do I need to undertake any specific checks or gain any specific security clearances?

All Possability employees are required to undertake a Police check, a Working with Vulnerable People and Working with Children check and complete a pre-employment medical assessment. The nature of our sector requires various checks and screening. As an employee you will need to complete those checks and screening activities as they arise, including any mandatory renewals.

What’s it like to work for Possability?

Will I need to do shift work?

This is determined by the role you are appointed to.   Some roles, such as support work are shift work roles and shift times range from early morning shifts, day shifts, afternoon shifts, and sleepover and awake shifts. Shifts can also occur on week days, weekends and public holidays. This will be discussed with you as part of the selection process but it is valuable if you can be available for a wide variety of shifts.

What do I do in my first few shifts?

You will participate in our ‘getting started’ onboarding process. This process is designed to give you the best opportunity for success in your new role. This will include completing our online training program and might include such things as –completing a number of buddy shifts within the location where you are placed. During buddy shifts you will receive an extensive orientation into the location and you will be mentored by your senior experienced employee to learn all about us and our expectations of you.

When will I be contacted with regards to any vacancies?

When a role becomes vacant that matches the information you have provided in your application and resume you will be contacted with an invitation to participate in our selection activities.

If you decide that I don’t match Possability’s needs, will you inform me?

Yes. If we determine that it is unlikely that there is a match between what you can offer us and our needs then we will inform you of that decision.
