When you lodge an expression of interest with us, we place your application in our candidate pool and as positions become available that match the information you have provided  we will contact you and invite you to participate in our selection process.

In the first instance, the assessment activity will always be an interview with a panel of Possability employees. Depending on the needs of the role we are filling we may ask you to undertake other assessment activities as part of the selection process. We will provide you with all the information you need to ensure you have the best possible opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities as you progress through our selection process.

Child and Youth Services Program: Support Worker

We are currently seeking casual employees to join our Child and Youth Services Program. We are looking for applicants that are fun, vibrant, flexible, be able to think on their feet, follow therapeutic support plans and be willing to work in an 1 to 1 support environment.

Senior Practice Consultant

Oak Possability is an industry leader in providing quality support services to children, young people and Tasmanians living with a disability. We are focused on assisting our clients to develop their independence and achieve their personal goals.

We are currently offering a full time position, as a Senior Practice Consultant. The purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of quality clinical support services to Oak Possability’s clients, their families and advocates and Oak Possability’s Support Worker teams. The role will carry a caseload and provide advice and consultation to Operations including recommending appropriate clinical services; the development and delivery training, work with clients and support teams to develop and implement clinical interventions according to the client’s needs; and work with Practice Development and Operations to research, evaluate and improve provision of direct services, including clinical interventions and projects.

To successfully progress your application you must be able to demonstrate that you have strong experience in assessment and provision of clinical interventions for young people with a history of trauma and/or abuse as well as people living with a disability. You will also have experience in delivering training and have the ability to engage, motivate and mentor teams to ensure delivery of clinical interventions.

Business and Technology Trainee

We are currently seeking a full time position as a Business and Technology Trainee in our Hobart office. Reporting directly to the Director of Projects and Business Performance, the main focus for the Business and Technology Trainee will be assisting with the day to day business and technology needs of the business. This will be a challenging and fulfilling position for anyone looking to start a career in Business and Technology.

You will be involved in:

  • Administering simple business tasks
  • Administering first level IT tasks
  • Provide support and basic assistance on IT tasks
  • Provide efficient administration support to the Project and Business Performance team
  • Undertake research where required
  • Solve Basic software and hardware problems
  • Undertake and complete allocated project tasks

What we are looking for:

  • Preparedness to undertake and successfully complete an appropriate Certificate 3 or 4 in IT or Business.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results – you will have a “can do” attitude
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake research, assess findings, draw conclusions and report.

Support Worker

We are currently seeking casual employees in your area! Where the ideal applicants will be flexible, be able to think on their feet, follow specific support plans and be willing to work in an 1 to 1 support environment. The ideal applicants would also be willing to work in the Out of Home Care section of the organisation.  In return we offer a challenging but rewarding opportunity to support people to maintain their independence and build additional skills.

To be successful for a position a relevant qualification and experience working in the disability industry is desirable, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work autonomously and be an advocate of Oak Possability’s Values.
