Participants and carers
We look forward to getting to know you in coming months, finding out what is important to you and your aspirations for the future.
In the meantime, we’ve gathered together some introductory information for you.
Our Purpose, Vision and Values
Our Purpose, Vision and Values guide our work and how we do it.
How we work together
Our booklet, Working Together, explains the rights of Possability participants and carers, and what we are doing to protect those rights. It includes a summary of our policies that are designed to protect participants and be responsive to their changing needs.
Our support is based on demonstrated best practice that is proven to achieve positive outcomes for people with physical and intellectual disability.
Our Practice Framework for Disability Services is based on:
- Person-Centred Approaches
- Inclusive Practices
- Life Long Learning
- Positive Behaviour Support Approaches.
Find out more by downloading our Practice Framework booklet.
Feedback and complaints
Possability actively seeks feedback and welcomes complaints from participants and families to continually improve our services. We recognise that everyone communicates differently and we provide a range of mechanisms for everyone to ‘have a say’ and be heard. See the Feedback and Complaints section in the Working Together booklet.
Quality and Safeguarding
Possability is committed to ethical, respectful and safe practices that meet industry standards and fulfill legislative requirements. Find out about our accreditations.
We have a number of written and video stories on how we work with participants to help them achieve their goals. Visit our stories page.
